The Book

A journey through Switzerland’s
concrete landscapes

Over 340 buildings
from all across Switzerland
A photographic journey through Switzerland’s remarkable concrete heritage. Featuring over 340 photographs from all 26 cantons, the book reveals the unexpected beauty and diversity of Swiss brutalist architecture.

The result of seven years of exploration, this visually driven publication captures the extraordinary range of brutalist architecture across Switzerland. Organised by building typologies, it combines striking photography with architectural insights, inviting readers to discover the country from a different perspective.

Published by Edition Hochparterre and designed by Sam Linder, the book features an essay by architectural historian Martin Tschanz and a foreword by Marcel Bächtiger. More than a photographic collection, it is a tribute to the architectural spirit of an era and an invitation to experience these buildings firsthand.
